WHAT IS THE SCIENCE OF READING?

The science of reading is a vast, interdisciplinary body of scientifically-based research about reading and issues related to reading and writing.  It could also be called the science of literacy!

All children deserve to learn to read and write and all teachers can learn to teach them.

The Reading League is a national not for profit that promotes knowledge to reimagine the future of literacy education and accelerate the global movement toward reading instruction rooted in science.
